Why There’s a 98% Chance You Should Use Social Media

By Veronica  //  Social Media  //  No Comments

Wow! 98% of Young People Between Age 18 and 24 Use Social Media When Online

Experian Simmons just released a stunning fact that every business in the world needs to seriously keep in mind…. Nearly half of the US population that are between the ages of 18 and 24 use social media (41.37$ to be exact). What about some other age groups? Well, 82% of online users between the ages of 55 and 64 use social media and about three quarters of online users over the age of 65 use social media. Here’s a clearer breakdown:

Social Media by Age

(See the complete report here)

So how do you take this and use it to your advantage, especially with the holiday season just around the corner? According to Steelhouse who surveyed 1000 Americans, over 80% of participants said their holiday shopping this year would be different due to the economy. Half of them will use comparison shopping more than previously, over 60% will not be spending as much, almost 30% will be looking to shop online more this year and almost one-third won’t even consider buying without free shipping a nice discount on their purchase.

Women will be using social media twice as much as men. If there are kids in the household they’ll be more likely to be shopping for the best deals and discounts online. There are tons of places they can find discounts online like the online coupons mege-site BehindTheCounter.com So it’s clear that you need to be proactive in planning an effective coupons promotion through social media if you hope to get your fair share of the holiday season this year.

You could go the Groupon route, but most businesses report not being happy at all with the results of doing so. Instead, why not run your own coupon campaign through Facebook? There are plenty of ways to do so with either hosted solutions or setting it up completely within your Facebook page.

Free High PR Blog Post Backlinks

By Veronica  //  SEO  //  No Comments

One of my favorite forums has a member that recently tested the effectiveness of using nothing but high PR blog post backlinks. What was surprising is how quickly the results came rolling in. We know (or should know) that a variety of backlinks is the safest way to go, but you should always have some in-content links from quality sites. In fact, I’ve released a couple of reports that go into detail and help you find ways to do so (see links at end of this post).

This guy  targeted some pretty competitive keywords and still got impressive results! Take a look at this:

In a short amount of time, that’s what happened. See how he did it:
